Dr. Brandy Burgess was born in Lake Charles, Louisiana but grew up in southern California, an hour north of Los Angeles. She graduated with honors from UCLA in 1999 with a Bachelor of Science degree. She earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the UCLA School of Dentistry, graduating in the top 10% of her class. Upon graduation, she was elected into the prestigious Omicron Kappa Upsilon (OKU) honor society. She completed her residency in orthodontics at Saint Louis University where she received the prestigious J.P. Marshall Award for graduating #1 in her residency class. She has been in private practice since 2007 and is board-certified by the American Board of Orthodontics.
Dr. Burgess loves being an orthodontist, interacting with people of all ages, and improving the smiles/lives of her patients. As a child, she was very self-conscious about her own teeth and hardly ever smiled. That changed once she had braces. She has been able to share her personal experience with her patients and help them understand the beneficial effects of orthodontic treatment.
In her spare time, Dr. Burgess enjoys outdoor activities including rollerblading, swimming, hiking, snowboarding, and SCUBA diving. She loves the beach and likes traveling, dancing, shopping, completing Sudoku puzzles, and spending time with friends and family.
