Dr. James H. Mutti
Dr. Mutti has been serving the northland for thirty six years. He grew up in the small northwest Missouri town of Hopkins. His pre-dental education was done at Northwest Missouri State University and he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Missouri at Kansas City in 1967. Dr. Mutti practiced general dentistry in Independence for six years before beginning an orthodontic residency. In 1975 Dr. Mutti received the degree of Master of Science in Orthodontics from Washington University School of Dental Medicine in St. Louis. Dr. Mutti became certified in the Art and Science of Orthodontics by the American Board of Orthodontics in 1989 and was later recertified in 2006.
He is a member of many professional organizations including: the American Association of Orthodontists, the College of Diplomats of the American Board of Orthodontics, the Midwestern Society of Orthodontists, the Missouri Society of Orthodontists, the Greater Kansas City Society of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association, the Missouri Dental Association, the Greater Kansas City Dental Society and the Clay-Platte Dental Society. He also is a member of Northcross United Methodist Church.
Dr. Mutti and his wife Carla are parents of three great children and the grandparents of six wonderful grandchildren that bring them an incredible amount of joy. He loves spending time with his family and friends. He is an avid sports fan so cheering for his favoirte teams is a great source of entertaininment. He also enjoys traveling, fishing, and many other outdoor activities.
