ANY AGE IS THE RIGHT AGE
Adults
Orthodontic treatment is always a change for the better, regardless of your age. The biological process involved in tooth movement is the same in both adults and children. The goal is the same, too: a better-looking smile that improves the health of your teeth and gums. Adults will feel comfortable in our office with a treatment area that provides a sense of privacy and a highly-trained staff to listen to your needs. You'll be in good company as one of every five patients in orthodontic treatment is over 21. You're never too old to be your best!
Kids
It's best for the orthodontist to see children by
age 7 to advise if orthodontic treatment is required
and the best time for that patient to be treated.
The first permanent molars and incisors have usually
come in by that time and crossbites, crowding and
other problems can be evaluated. Sometimes early
treatment is recommended to help direct growth, gain
space for permanent teeth, avoid the need for permanent
tooth extractions, or correct thumb-sucking. Children
can also benefit from treatments that help make them
feel better about their appearance and boost their
self-esteem. When early treatment is not necessary,
we are happy to monitor your child's growth and development
at no charge until we determine the best time to
recommend treatment. As always, we are here to serve
your needs. Please call us if you have any questions:
