OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – Dr. Jeremy Fry and Fry Orthodontic Specialists, partners with the Smile for a Lifetime Foundation, are proud to announce their newest chapter, MO Branch of Smile for a Lifetime-Kansas City, and the addition of eight scholarships to recipients in the KC metro area. This brings the total scholarships awarded each quarter to 16! The foundation’s mission is to change lives through orthodontics and impact the community in a positive way. As of today, the foundation has awarded more than $400,000 in scholarships to local community members. A smile can inspire hope, increase self-confidence, and change a community. Now there are more smiles being celebrated in the Kansas City area than ever before thanks to this program and the additional scholarships. The smile possibilities are endless!
The Smile for a Lifetime foundation was glad to receive positive feedback from a recent scholarship recipient, “I would like to express my appreciation to the providers of Smiles for a Lifetime for giving me the opportunity to have a healthy smile,” said Cade, “I inherited my overbite and was told it would cause damage and discomfort for the rest of my life. Without this scholarship, my family would not have been able to proceed with my treatment. Thank you for providing this opportunity to my family and other families like us.”
Founded as a non-profit organization, the Smile for a Lifetime foundation is a nation-wide orthodontic organization dedicated to providing care to children who otherwise may not be able to receive treatment. Launched in 2008, the foundation has grown, and currently has 37 partners across the country. With local chapters, each having its own Board of Directors to determine awards, the foundation is community focused, locally based, and aims to positively impact the lives of as many local children as possible.
